Connect Chicago Speakers Will Size Up the Capital Stack at Tuesday’s Event

A top-to-bottom examination of the capital stack is on the agenda for Connect Chicago Fall 2019, scheduled for Oct. 29 at the Intercontinental Chicago Magnificent Mile. Redwood Capital Group’s Tammy Kelly will moderate the “Deal Flow Across the Capital Stack: It’s Complicated” discussion, and she’ll have some of the region’s leading capital markets experts with her.

Speakers lined up to join the conversation include Pearlmark Real Estate Partners’ Doug Lyons, Barnett Capital’s Elan Peretz, PGIM Real Estate Finance’s Christy Lockridge and Broadstone Real Estate’s Kate Davis.

The panel will discuss how investment strategies and the composition of investors have changed over the past six months, and whether there has been more activity lately in asset classes outside of the five major food groups. They’ll also chart the activity levels of various investment vehicles, including funds and REITs, both traded and non-traded.

With a keynote presentation by Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi kicking things off, Connect Chicago Fall 2019 will also spotlight the region’s development trends, the most essential tenant amenities and preparation for what comes next, including a possible downturn.
