Workers lifted a steel beam to the top of a 63-story tower rising at 138 E. 50th St., topping out a structure that will open in early 2019 with 124 luxury condominiums.

“We are incredibly proud of the work we have completed with our partners, SMI USA, and are thrilled to be reaching this milestone for the 138 E. 50th Street project,” said Art Hooper, managing director for developer Ceruzzi Holdings.

Ceruzzi partnered with investment firm SMI USA to develop the tower. Madison Realty Capital provided construction financing. AECOM Tishman Construction is the general contractor.
