Disneyland Reveals Star Wars Land Concept Art

A day after closing the artificial river and all attractions surrounding it, Disney officials released Walt Disney Imagineering’s concept art for its Rivers of America project. The rendering shows a new waterfront and waterfalls, and an elevated railroad track over the water.

The artificial river attractions are expected to be closed for about a year, while the park prepares to build a 14-acre Star Wars themed land in the north part of Frontierland.

This planned expansion is the largest in Disneyland history. The Rivers of America was one of Walt Disney’s original attractions when the park opened in 1955.
