Compass Adds Executive Director in Commercial Division

Compass vice chairman Adelaide Polsinelli announced the addition of Josh Silberstein as executive director in the firm’s New York Commercial Division. He joins the Polsinelli-Graff team, known for off-market transactions and creative structuring across asset classes.

In his new role, Silberstein will focus on investment sales and leasing across Manhattan and the outer boroughs, with an emphasis on multifamily, industrial and mixed-use properties. He will also leverage Compass’ national footprint to support clients in scaling portfolios or accessing new markets.

Silberstein began his career at Dwight Capital as a sizing analyst, where he rose through the ranks and joined the firm’s affiliated mortgage REIT, Dwight Mortgage Trust. Over his tenure, he worked on transactions in markets across the country and regularly took the lead on high-volume deal flow, distressed opportunities and borrower workout strategies. Silberstein has underwritten or managed more than $2 billion in multifamily assets and participated in the closing of $500 million-plus in bridge loans.
