Community Preservation Commits to Full Floor at News Building
Nonprofit affordable housing finance firm Community Preservation Corporation has signed a full-floor, 30-year lease at SL Green Realty Corporation’s 220 E. 42nd St., also known as the News Building. CPC is expected to move into its 29,400-square-foot space on the landmark property’s 16th floor next spring.
Cushman & Wakefield represented both tenant and landlord in the transaction. A team consisting of David Lebenstein, Daniel Organ and Michael Burgio represented CPC, while Tara Stacom and Barry Zeller represented SL Green.
“CPC has been operating in their previous space for many years, and in their search for new office space, they were looking to modernize the workplace and find a new environment that would encourage collaboration,” said Lebenstein. “The design and location of their new space at 220 E. 42nd will more than accomplish this goal.”
