Commodities Firm Signs On at 299 Park
Fisher Brothers has signed commodities trading firm Traxys Group to a full floor at 299 Park Ave. The Luxembourg-based Traxys has signed on for 15 years in a 29,777-square-foot space on the Plaza District tower’s 38th floor and will relocate its New York offices from 825 Third Ave. in 2019.
The Traxys deal brings 299 Park to 85% leased. Traxys was represented by CBRE’s Ken Meyerson, Adam Rabin, and Taylor Scheinman. Fisher Brothers was represented in-house by Marc Packman and Charles Laginestra, and by the NKF team of David Falk, Peter Shimkin, Andrew Sachs, Eric Cagner and Andrew Peretz.
The new tenant joins a roster of financial services firms at the property that already includes Capital One, UBS, GE Capital and American Securities. Fisher Brothers, which built the tower in 1967, plans a major capital improvement program at the property this year.
