Coming to Kilgore: Baskin Robbins & Dunkin’ Donuts

The former BTH Bank building in the Gateway Travel Plaza on 4405 S.H. 42 near Kilgore, TX will soon be home to the double-sweet combination of a Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop and Dunkin’ Donuts store. Owner Roberts & Hatchett hired ADB Commercial Construction Inc. of Cypress, TX to do the remodel, which is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2016. The travel plaza current contains a Wendy’s restaurant and a convenience store.

“We wanted to put something in there to draw people from Kilgore and I-20,” said J.T. Roberts, a local optometrist who owns the property with his son-in-law, Brian Hatchett. Meanwhile, BTH relocated to 205 N. Kilgore St. in May.
