Coming to Katy: 1,000 Luxury Apartment Units
Two developers closed on three land tracts in Katy, TX, on the far west side of the Houston metro. Davis Development and Oden Hughes are planning to build a combined 1,000 luxury apartment units on the land. Tom Dosch with Dosch Marshall Real Estate Co. was involved with all three land sales.
Atlanta-based Davis Development acquired approximately 14 acres near Grand Parkway and Peek Road. Dosch represented the seller, Clay Road Development. Davis Development plans to start construction soon on a 325-unit project, with delivery planned for late 2019 or early 2020.
Meanwhile, Oden Hughes of Austin acquired 12 acres at Grand Parkway and Interstate 10 from Trammell Crow Co. In early 2018, the developer acquired 26 acres north of Kingsland Boulevard near Cobia Drive from Chi St. Luke’s Hospital. Construction is underway on both tracts, with the first units to be available in early 2020. Dosh negotiated on behalf of Oden Hughes in both land transactions.
