Coming to the CBD: Houston Sports Hall of Fame

Midway Cos. and the Harris County Houston Sports Authority are teaming up to build a Houston Sports Hall of Fame. The hall of fame will be downtown, in GreenStreet, a 570,000-square-foot property owned by Midway. NRG Energy Inc., which is headquartered in the space at 1201 Fannin, is planning to vacate 250,000 square feet to consolidate operations at 910 Louisiana. However, HCHSA’s Janis Burke said an exact size hasn’t yet been decided.  More details about the project will be unveiled in summer 2018.

GreenStreet is home to House of Blues and Lucky Strike, as well as several restaurants. The 223-room Hotel Alessandra also recently opened within the development. Retail tenants include Forever 21, Spa by Alessandra and III Forks.
