Comerica Renews 222K-SF Downtown Dallas HQ Lease

Comerica Bank renewed its corporate headquarters lease in downtown Dallas, agreeing to take 222,000 square feet at 1717 Main Street. The bank, which relocated from Detroit in 2007, elected to remain in the 60-story tower, which is named Comerica Bank Tower, until 2028.

Comerica occupies roughly seven floors of the 1.5-million-square-foot tower, which occupies an entire block and is one of Dallas’ tallest buildings.

Owners M-M Properties and TriGate Capital spent millions on capital improvements at the asset, since acquiring it in 2015. The building was designed by acclaimed architect Philip Johnson and John Burgee, and opened in 1987.

CBRE’s Phil Puckett, John Woolsey, Harlan Davis and Jamie Dingeman negotiated the new lease.
