Comerica Coworkspaces are taking over banking centers

Comerica Converting Texas Retail Banking Outlets

Many American’s are seeing their neighborhood banking center just close up, leaving most to bank electronically. One banking company is doing something with that space. They’re getting into the workspace…space. Comerica has launched Comerica Coworkspaces. It’s said to be a $3 million flex office Initiative that will include repurposing 10,000 square feet in a number of Texas retail banks. Comerica will be converting the space in nine of their banking centers. So far, two are open and 6 have been designated as coworkspace candidates.

All locations will feature Wi-Fi, AV presentation equipment, hospitality stations and meeting rooms. The flex offices will encompass community spaces, non-private common working areas, conference spaces and temporary access to private offices, with configurations varying by location.

Comerica is also in the process of developing Comerica BusinessHQ, an 8,000-square-foot community resource center at the bankโ€™s Thornton Freeway location in Dallas. The $5 million collaborative project is planned to accommodate between 20 and 25 small businesses.
