Combined 50 Acres Near PHX/Mesa Airport Ready for Development

It’s not a textbook “land grab” or “mad dash” in the Southwest, but there is a dwindling amount of developable land in the Phoenix DMA and Southwest Valley. With recent moves, EastGroup Properties Inc. has assembled and closed on roughly 50 acres in the Phoenix/Mesa Gateway Airport submarket.

Collectively, and covering 655,400 square feet over seven buildings, Gateway Interchange will sit at the northwest corner of Hawes Road and Loop 202 in Mesa, Ariz., according to a news release.

The acreage for the property was purchased from four separate ownership groups and assembled into a single parcel with 2,600 feet of frontage along Loop 202.

Senior Managing Directors Steve Larsen and Pat Harlan, and Senior Vice President Rick Collins from the Phoenix office of JLL represented EastGroup in the land assemblage and purchase, and will serve as the project’s exclusive leasing brokers.
