Columbia Property Trust Secures Five Leases at 116 Huntington Ave.

Columbia Property Trust, Inc. secured five new leases, expansions, and extensions encompassing 43,000 square feet at 116 Huntington Ave. in Boston’s Back Bay. In the largest of the new leases, Columbia signed a new 9,442-square-foot lease with data trust company Ataccama after occupying temporary space at the property.

In addition, Falcon Investment Advisors will move its headquarters from Boston Harbor/Waterfront to 6,447 square feet at 116 Huntington, while strategic insights and consulting firm HawkPartners will relocate its Boston office from Prudential Tower to a 6,061-square-foot prebuilt suite.

Along with these three new leases, Columbia secured an expansion with BlueWave Solar to grow the pioneering renewable energy company’s footprint to 11,300 square feet. Clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company Bicara Therapeutics also strengthened its commitment to 116 Huntington, extending its 9,361-square-foot direct lease with Columbia, while also growing its footprint by 9,682 square feet via sublease.

Columbia was represented in-house on all transactions by Ted Koltis, EVP and head of real estate, and Maria Blake, VP of real estate, along with a JLL team of Dan Cavanaugh, Patrick Nugent and Maeve Cleary. Ataccama was represented by Gilbert Dailey of Newmark. Falcon was represented by Rory Walsh and Deb Gould of Newmark. HawkPartners was represented by Olivia Weckwerth and Derek Losi of Cresa. BlueWave Solar was represented by Roger Breslin and Bryan Sparkes of JLL. Bicara was represented by Julia Ryan and Mitch Perez of Cushman & Wakefield.
