Colton House Construction Commences

Inherit Hotel Group has started work on Colton House, an 80-key luxury hotel situated on a site in South Austin that formerly contained the Taste of China Express restaurant. The project is going north at 2510 S. Congress Ave. and is expected to open in fall 2019.

Colton House guest rooms will contain a full kitchen or kitchenette, with market rates at $250 per night. Amenities at the 90,000-square-foot, three-story hotel will include a swimming pool, rooftop amenity space, coffee bar, library and a 5,000-square-foot outdoor lawn for events. The lawn, which contains three live oak trees at an estimated age of 80 years, can also be used for bocce ball and other games when not in use for a specific event.
