Colliers, MSR Will Team on Harlem Center Assignment

Colliers International, and its alliance partner Madison Square Realty, have been selected to lease up two floors of Forest City Realty Trust’s Harlem Center. The 46,000-square-foot space, which will be vacated later this year by New York State, will be the first major block to become available since Harlem Center opened in 2002.

Colliers’ Richard M. Warshauer and Sayo Kamara, and MSR’s Eric S. Yarbro will lead the leasing team. “Harlem Center not only represents exceptional economic value for a broad spectrum of private, institutional and not-for-profit tenants, but also the opportunity to join the second Harlem Renaissance,” said Ali Esmaeilzadeh, SVP, asset management and leasing for FCRT.

Full-floor tenants relocating from below 96th Street might save as much as $7 million over the life of a 10-year lease, via governmental incentive programs, according to Colliers. Among them is the Relocation and Employment Assistance Program, or REAP.
