Colliers Brokers Sale of Freehold Mall

Colliers International arranged the sale of Freehold Mall, a 220,000-square-foot retail complex in the Monmouth County community of Freehold Township, NJ. Transaction terms weren’t disclosed.

A team led by executive managing director Jacklene Chesler and including Matthew Brown, Patrick Norris and Frank Summers, completed the transaction despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Freehold Mall is home to 11 tenants, including a handful of nationally-recognized retailers. Monmouth County has long been recognized as a stronghold for national retailers due to its high population density and strong economic demographics.

“Freehold Mall is a unique investment opportunity located in one of the premier commercial areas in the region,” said Chesler. “The sale of the property speaks to the strength and resilience of the New Jersey market. We’re pleased that our team was able to leverage its deep knowledge of the landscape to successfully close the deal on behalf of our client.”
