Collete English Dixon to Interview Sam Zell for Eisenberg Fundraiser
Collete English Dixon, executive director, Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate, Roosevelt University has been named to interview Sam Zell, founder & chairman of Equity Group Investments, as part of the REAL Bright Night, Thursday, Jan.28. The interview is part of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation’s REAL Bright Summit: Building the Future of Real Estate, scheduled for Jan. 25-29 and presented by Old Second National Bank.
The virtual format of The REAL Bright Summit, as well as the REAL Bright Night program featuring Zell, allows for participation from real estate professionals and students across the country.
“With her portfolio of expertise in real estate’s private sector, and now in her role as the Executive Director of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at Roosevelt University, Collete is uniquely qualified to facilitate this one-on-one interview with Sam Zell,” says Peter Eisenberg, President of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation. “Collete’s background along with Sam’s expert insights and opinions will certainly provide for a fascinating discussion at REAL Bright Night.”
The week-long Summit will combine what traditionally have been two annual events: the Foundation’s Annual Dinner and its Annual Career Day. Proceeds from the Summit will benefit the Foundation’s two-pronged mission of educating young people and advancing gastrointestinal cancer research.

In this capacity, he oversees daily operations while also reporting on both local/regional markets and national trends, covering individual transactions across all property types, as well as delving into broader subject matter. He produces 15-20 daily news stories per day and works with the Connect team and clients to develop longer-form content, ranging from Q&As to thought-leadership pieces.
Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications.
Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
