Coliving Operators Outpost, June Homes Merge for Combined 4,000 Units

New York-based coliving operator Outpost said Monday it has merged with June Homes, creating the largest coliving operator in the U.S. The combined company, known as OJH Holdings, will operate roughly 4,000 units across New York City, Boston, Washington, DC, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Austin. The combined entity will be led by Outpost CEO Sergii Starostin, while June Homes CEO Mauricio Zuniga will become president of the new entity.

The merger brings together two companies that have taken notably different paths through a turbulent period in flexible housing, with a focus on fundamentals: strong operations, disciplined cost control and deep partnerships with landlords, Outpost and June Homes said.

“We built Outpost to be the reliable operator in a very unpredictable industry,” said Starostin. “Where others chased growth at any cost, we focused on choosing great projects, controlling expenses and treating every building owner like a long-term partner. That discipline is exactly what we saw in June Homes’ team and are excited to merge the two entities to continue growing while so many others have disappeared.”
