Cold Summit to build $80M project in Lancaster

Cold Summit Investing $80M in Another Lancaster Cold Storage Facility

A public filing puts the cost of Cold Summit Developments new refrigerated storage facility at $80 million. The 356,000 square foot project is going up in Lancaster, due south of Dallas. The Cold Summit storage building will be located at 1110 E. Pleasant Run Road and is set to break ground in June 2023. It’s expected to be delivered 4Q 2024. Besides the cold-storage component there will be ancillary offices for up to four tenants. South Carolina-based Novus Architects will provide the design.

According to the Dallas Business Journal, the company delivered a speculative Class A, 343,250 square foot state-of-the-art refrigerated facility site (see picture), also in Lancaster, near Interstate 20, in September of 2021. Leasing will be provided by David Sours and Lucy Durbin of CBRE.
