Coke Bottler Spending $168M on DFW Plant Expansion

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages (CCSWB) says it’s just trying to keep up. The Dallas Business Journal reports DFW is adding over 400 people a day, according to census data. The company plans to ramp up production and double its warehouse space in Fort Worth, spending $168 million along the way. The company did the same in Houston, having invested over $250 million on a recently opened plant.

The Fort Worth plant employs nearly 900 people, and the company employs 1,800 people across North Texas in other roles such as sales and distribution.

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, based in Dallas, is one of the largest Coca-Cola product bottlers in the U.S. and serves Texas, Oklahoma and parts of New Mexico and Arkansas. The company estimated it contributed more than $6 billion in economic activity across those states.
