Coffee Roaster Opens New HQ in Portland

Nossa Familia Coffee and Schlesinger Companies partnered to acquire a 26,200-square-foot industrial and office building northwest of downtown Portland, OR for $3.57 million. The site at 3530 N.W. St. Helens Rd. will serve as the coffee roaster’s headquarters and roasting facility.

The deal involves a 10-year lease, with Nossa Familia securing a purchase option for the building. Schlesinger is serving as the asset manager and will invest and manage third-party capital alongside its own.

Nossa Famillia opened a Pearl District roasting facility and Espresso Bar in 2012 and in 2013, with the help of a successful Kickstarter campaign. The coffee company’s expansion includes opening four new cafes in Portland ,and it recently opened a CalEdison Espresso Bar in Downtown Los Angeles.

Kidder Mathews’ Zach Francis represented the unnamed seller, while Cresa’s Blake St. Onge represented the buyers.
