Coffee Brand Joins Retail Lineup at Mixed-Use Development in DC
Café Unido, a Panama-based specialty coffee brand, will open its third Washington, D.C. location.
Building on the success of its locations in Shaw and Union Market, Café Unido will bring a café to a 730-square-foot space along The Corso, The Stacks’ pedestrian-only retail promenade. Located on the ground floor of Colette, one of The Stacks’ three residential buildings, the café will also connect to Colette’s lobby, offering guests access to an additional 1,100-square-foot space.
“From our growing retail lineup to our host of free community events, The Stacks is a destination that brings people together, and Café Unido will be a standout part of that experience,” said Katie Hartley, managing director of development at National Real Estate Development.
The Stacks’ first phase, which opened earlier this year, includes over one million square feet of mixed-use space with three residential communities — The Byron, Everly and Colette — alongside a 15,000-square-foot public park and a curated mix of street-level retail, dining, wellness and co-working spaces.
