Coffee Bean Plans New HQ Campus Near Hayden Tract
Los Angeles-based Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf plans to build a nearly 220,000-square-foot headquarters facility on a vacant 3.6-acre lot at 6000 W. Jefferson Blvd., adjacent to Culver City and the Hayden Tract. Plans call for two contemporary glass-and-concrete buildings, including a three-story building along Jefferson and a six-story structure at the rear of the property.
The smaller building will contain nearly 54,000 square feet of light manufacturing space for coffee roasting, and roughly 51,000 square feet of warehouse space, as well as a 2,200-square-foot drive-thru.
A central plaza will be incorporated between the buildings, along with an open seating area fronting Jefferson Boulevard. Construction on the campus is anticipated to commence early next year, and span 35 months to delivery.
The retailer is relocating its HQ from Wilshire Courtyard. The new facility is being built on a site Coffee Bean acquired from the City of Los Angeles last year.
