CNA, Peapod Open the Doors on New Chicago HQ Spaces

McDonald’s grand opening of its build-to-suit headquarters in the Fulton Market District was followed up Tuesday by two more such events across Chicago. CNA’s relocation to The John Buck Company’s newly-built 151 N. Franklin St. and Peapod’s move from suburban Skokie, IL to 300 S. Riverside Plaza, both had Mayor Rahm Emanuel on hand for opening ceremonies.

“After over 45 years in the Southeast Loop, now CNA employees will experience the Northwest Loop,” said Buck (pictured, at left) during grand opening ceremonies at 151 N. Franklin. “We commend architect John Ronan’s creativity, and hope that all concerned will enjoy officing in this fine building.”

Founded nearly 30 years ago as the first online grocer, Peapod announced plans to move into the city this past fall. “Our Chicago doors are now open, and we look forward to becoming a larger part of the Chicago community,” said Peapod President Walt Lentz.
