Clay Development & Construction Inc. broke ground on Mustang Ridge Distribution Center I, a 538,720-square-foot speculative industrial facility. Completion is scheduled for late 2025.

Community Impact reports Clay says the project, located at 6925 FM 1327, is the largest spec industrial development currently under construction in the Greater Austin market.

“Suppliers for Tesla, Samsung, Applied Materials and other advanced technology businesses are looking for large, cross-dock facilities,” Robert Clay said. “In the past, these users have had no alternative but to invest in a build-to-suit facility. Mustang Ridge Distribution Center I offers the choice of a spec building, close to Austin’s core industrial submarkets.”

Clay Development & Construction Inc. is a Houston-based commercial real estate firm that specializes in industrial build-to-suit facilities for lease or sale. Since its founding in 1988, the company has completed more than 24 million square feet of industrial and office space—roughly the size of 417 football fields, according to the release.
