Classical Christian School Acquires Permanent Upper West Side Home
Denham Wolf Real Estate Services represented The Geneva School of Manhattan in acquiring a permanent Upper West Side campus, securing a long-term home for the independent Classical Christian school. Approved by the United States Bankruptcy Court in July, the acquisition establishes a long-term home for the school on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
The six-story, 38,838-square-foot educational facility was acquired for $33.2 million and will provide The Geneva School with a permanent campus to support its continued growth and long-term educational mission. The acquisition also represents an exceptional value, with the purchase price significantly below the cost of developing a comparable educational facility in Manhattan today, according to Denham Wolf.
Led by Kate Hrobsky and Christopher D. Turner, Denham Wolf served as strategic real estate advisor throughout the acquisition process, providing search strategy, property identification, financial analysis, due diligence, negotiations, and bankruptcy sale advisory. Denham Wolf worked closely with BKREA’s Tom Brady, Ana Barrie, Ryan Candel, and Bob Knakal, who represented the bankruptcy trustees.
