A rare sight in central Phoenix is an undeveloped, industrial site. And there is now one fewer of those sites as the Airport 48 Industrial has broken ground.

ViaWest Group, along with Phoenix city government and contractor Stevens-Leinweber Construction has started work on the Class A, 146,526-square-foot building that sits atop one of the last remaining infill parcels in Phoenix, according to a news release.

Industrial facilities – including fulfillment centers for growing e-commerce demand – rely on infrastructure and location: Airport 48 Industrial has plenty of both. Airport 48 Industrial is located on nearly 10 acres at 3232 S. 48^th Street, immediately fronts Ariz. Rt. 143 and just north of Interstate 10. It is only a five-minute drive from Sky Harbor International Airport and just two minutes from a full-diamond interchange, providing direct access to all major Phoenix freeway systems.
