Clark Construction Lands $524M Contract to Build Fed Cybersecurity HQ
The US General Services Administration (GSA) has announced that Virginia-based Clark Construction was awarded a contract worth $524 million to serve as general construction contractor on building a new Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The plan calls for a 630,000-square-foot federal building for the agency responsible for cybersecurity and infrastructure protection across all levels of government. Receiving more than $115 million from the federal Inflation Reduction Act, the GSA said the CISA scheme is the agency’s “largest single IRA project investment to date.”
The agency building will be located at the site of the former St Elizabeth’s Hospital West Campus, which was founded in 1855 as the first federally operated psychiatric hospital in the U.S.
