CKE Restaurants Relocates HQ to Nashville
Carpinteria-based CKE Restaurants, parent company of Carl’s Jr., which was founded in Anaheim 60 years ago, is relocating its California headquarters to Nashville, Tenn. early next year. CKE says the shift is tied to the company’s success at franchising company-owned locations.
Roughly 90 percent of its restaurants are franchise-owned, a model that’s reduced CKE’s office space needs and cooked up a consolidation. The company says all senior executives will be moving, and most employees will be offered positions.
CKE Restaurants, which also owns St. Louis-based Hardee’s, is uniting two corporate offices with about 150 employees. Nashville is viewed as a more central location where it still has company-owned restaurants.
