City Snaps Up Hillcrest Business Park Acreage

Herman Smith & Co. Ltd. sold a 4.1-acre tract in Hillcrest Business Park to the city of Mansfield, TX for an undisclosed amount. The sale represents Herman Smith’s ongoing disposition of its land holdings throughout the Mansfield area.

The just-sold parcel is at 1701 Commerce Dr., and is close to other municipal properties, including the Mansfield police station and detention center. Wayne Burgdorf with Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors DFW represented the seller. Negotiating for the city was Julie Short with Coldwell Banker Residential.

Years ago, Herman Smith & Co., a Tarrant County investment and development firm, acquired a couple hundred acres in Mansfield, and has been systematically selling off pieces to developers and investors. The seller has one remaining 3-acre tract, which is on U.S. 287’s service road.
