NYC Requests Proposals to Redevelop Kingsbridge Armory

New York City’s Kingsbridge Armory, a 570,000-square-foot site in the Bronx, is seeking a new developer. Proposals for its redevelopment can now be submitted to the New York City Economic Development Corp.

The project has been pledged $200 million from the offices of the city’s mayor and the state’s governor, with expectations that it will bring $10 billion to the Bronx economy, generating 700 permanent jobs and 1,100 construction jobs.

The developer must meet several requirements, including promoting sustainability, energy efficiency, and carbon neutrality, while preserving the landmarked exterior. Additionally, the project should deliver at least 25,000 square feet of space for community-based organizations at a discounted rate.
