courtyard city place gets facelift

City Place Hotels to Get Makeover

Courtyard Houston City Place and Residence Inn Houston City Place will soon both have a refreshed look. Julian Builders is spearheading the joint, multi-million-dollar project, which will start this month and is expected to be completed in Q2 2025. Both hotels are majority-owned by a pair of entities managed by City Place master developer CDC Houston, a subsidiary of Coventry Development Corporation. Additional stakeholders include Woodbine Development Corporation and InterMountain Management.

The four-story Residence Inn Houston City Place was completed in 2015 and occupies a 3.29-acre parcel at 22814 Holzwarth Road. Designed for extended-stay guests, the property features 128 spacious suites with full kitchens and separate living, working and sleeping areas. Amenities range from complimentary offerings including daily breakfast to a sport court, outdoor pool, and a convenience store.

Completed in 2016, the Courtyard Houston City Place is four stories and situated on just under three acres at 2272 Holzwarth Road. Highlights include 125 guestrooms, a lobby Bistro, meeting and event space, a fitness center and an outdoor pool.
