City Nixes One Paseo
The San Diego City Council has reversed its prior approval of the $750-million mixed-use One Paseo proposed in the Carmel Valley neighborhood. The council opted to reverse it’s approval of the plan rather than spend the money to place it on an election ballot.
One Paseo was proposed by developer Kilroy Realty Corp. The 23-acre development was to include 1.4 million square feet of retail and office, and 608 residential units spread out over 10 buildings.
Kilroy can now go back to the drawing board and work with the Carmel Valley community to modify the proposal. Residents opposed to One Paseo were concerned about the project’s density.
