Citizens Bank Signs 74K SF in Midtown

Citizens Bank has inked a lease for 74,000 square feet at 1301 Avenue of the Americas in Midtown. The property, formerly known as the J.C. Penney Building, is owned by Paramount Group, Inc. With this lease, the 1.7 million-square-foot building has nearly 200,000 square feet of office space marketed as available across four floors.

“This new lease builds on the momentum of recent leasing activity along Avenue of the Americas, and in our portfolio specifically. Paramount Club, located at 1301 Avenue of the Americas, is a members only club created for corporate employees across our New York portfolio. Paramount Club is scheduled to open May 1, 2024 and continues to be a key differentiator in the market.” said Peter Brindley, executive vice president and head of Real Estate at Paramount. Earlier this year, Nexstar Media Group also leased space in the building.
