Cisco Claims Old Post Office Space for Midwest Hub

Cisco has announced Chicago as the company’s Midwest regional hub, with a relocation to 601W Companies’ Old Post Office. The IT giant will move its offices into about 135,000 square feet at the redeveloped West Loop office property, consolidating from the suburban Rosemont Corporate Center and a smaller downtown Chicago office.

A relocation from Rosemont has been in the works for about two years, according to published reports. A release from the Lightfoot administration described the upcoming Midwest hub as “a collaboration experience center space where teams can come together under a hybrid work model.”

Michael Fassnacht, president & CEO, World Business Chicago, said the Cisco move “demonstrates the city’s strength as a major hub for finance, technology, and global connectivity. This will not only benefit the firm’s current employees and clients, but also provide job opportunities and help strengthen our rebounding economy.”
