Cinergy Buys 10 Acres, Plans 90K-SF Entertainment Center

Cinergy Entertainment Group acquired 10.1 acres from Williams Group in the Town Square Village development near Soncy and Hillside Roads, in Amarillo, TX. The buyer plans a 90,000-square-foot entertainment complex, on which it could break ground later this year.

The facility will include 10 dine-in theaters, 16 blowing lanes, an arcade, ropes course, a multi-level laser-tag facility, a bar and a restaurant. The completion date is scheduled for late 2017.

In late 2015, the Amarillo city council voted to use a half-cent sales tax rebate for 10 years to help Cinergy Entertainment build its $25 million entertainment complex. In exchange, Cinergy has agreed to invest at least $25 million in the facility, and to employ at least 100 full-time employees.
