Cinderella City Mall Transformation Moves Ahead
DPC Companies and Ogilvie Partners have acquired the title to the land in Englewood where the former Cinderella City Mall was located. They are now prepared to transform the once-thriving retail center. The developer duo has formed a joint venture called New Englewood to build multifamily housing and a hotel on the site. The redevelopment vision includes transforming the approximately 220,000 square feet of mixed-use property.
The project is on two blocks. One of the blocks occupied by Ross, Petco, Noodles & Co., Jersey Mike’s, and Einstein Bagels will be upgraded but will largely remain the same.
The other block, featuring a two-story retail and office space on the south side of Englewood Parkway, is slated to be transformed into a multifamily development.
The initial phases of the project focus on adding multifamily residential projects that would bring 600 to 700 new units and at least 1,000 new residents into the CityCenter. At full build-out, the multifamily developments could comprise over 1,000 new units.
