CIM Group Acquires Downtown Oakland Property for 288-Unit MF Development

CIM Group, and joint venture partner Strada Investment Group, acquired a parcel at 1100 Clay St. in Oakland from the city and plans to develop a residential project. The 1.25-acre site is fully-entitled for a 16-story, 288-unit apartment building. The partners plan to commence construction immediately and deliver the project in two years.

The development of 1100 Clay is considered an integral piece of the evolving downtown fabric. The plan includes roughly 4,000 square feet of street level retail and a plaza fronting 12th Street, which provides pedestrian connectivity and creates a more vibrant street-level experience. The property is next to the 12th Street BART Station and the City Center parking garage, as well as the area’s major regional transportation corridors.

1100 Clay will offer modern residences, ranging from studio to three-bedroom floorplans, fitted with contemporary finishes and fixtures, co-working and meeting spaces, a fitness center, bike storage and outdoor rooftop deck.
