CIL Group Continues Weslaco Expansion

Commodities Integrated Logistics Group (CIL) launched construction on 282,500 square feet of warehouse space at the Mid Valley Industrial Park in Weslaco, TX. The new buildings will increase Rio Grande Valley holdings of CIL Group beyond its 1.1 million square feet of space.

CIL Group ships U.S. cotton into Mexico. The expansion is due to an increase in exports to Asia. The $8 million construction project at 1820 E. Sugar Cane Dr. will consist of two buildings, one measuring approximately 82,500 square feet, and the other clocking in at 200,000 square feet. The construction timeline is approximately five months.

The logistics service company relocated operations from Mission, TX to Weslaco in late 2017, with development of a 210,000-square-foot facility.
