CHRISTUS Health buys 12 E. Texas cardio health centers

CHRISTUS Health Acquires 12 East Texas Heart Health Centers

CHRISTUS Health says it has acquired CardiaStream (Cardiovascular Associates of East Texas) to form the largest cardiology group in East Texas. Cardiastream joins CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Cardiology, becoming a part of the CHRISTUS Heart and Vascular Institute.

Through the transaction, CardiaStream also known as Cardiovascular Associates of East Texas, will combine CHRISTUS Health’s Trinity Clinic Cardiology location in Tyler to form the CHRISTUS Heart and Vascular Institute. The Dallas Business Journal reports the two entities have been in talks to combine for two years.

CHRISTUS Health will also add 12 CardiaStream locations across East Texas to its portfolio, including in Athens, Canton, Crockett, Henderson and Jacksonville. The partnership provides access to more than 70 cardiovascular specialists throughout Northeast Texas, an outpatient cath lab and 14 trained clinician specialists.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 1999, CHRISTUS Health operates over 600 facilities worldwide, including long-term care, community hospitals, walk-in clinics and health ministries.
