Choice Homecare Continues Expansion with Legacy Hospice Acquisition

Tyler, TX-headquartered Choice Homecare of Texas LLC acquired Legacy Hospice, in an effort to expand services in established markets. Legacy Hospice provides hospice services through offices in Tyler and Sulphur Springs, TX.

Legacy Hospice’s owner and CFO, Art Taucher, will join the Choice Homecare executive team in a leadership role. Choice Homecare is a holding company focused on healthcare industry-related businesses that include home health, hospice, rehabilitation and consulting services and durable medical equipment. The company services more than 100 Texas counties through multiple agency and office locations.

The transaction is Choice Homecare’s fifth since January 2018. “This transaction, coupled with our activity in 2018, will allow for significant expansion of services and coverage for our patients and customers,” said Choice Homecare President and CEO David Jackson.
