Chino Plans $12M Infrastructure Project for Smart Growth Agenda

Recent staff reports show that the City of Chino, CA plans a $12 million construction project to expand its water treatment facility located in nearby Ontario, CA. The project directly reflects the city’s anticipation of future development requiring additional water resource capacity, with the expansion project allowing the city to treat ground water reserves prior to future use by residents and businesses.

Known as a progressive city that charts a unique balance between community lifestyle and a vibrant business culture, Chino has seen significant growth in recent decades that requires the additional infrastructure investments to support a healthy community and future quality of life.

Commercial developers active in Chino include Watson Land Company, which just began its final phase of construction for its Watson Industrial Park – Chino, and residential developer Lennar Homes, which recently announced the release of the last 7.5-acres of land at its 710-acre College Park master-planned community.
