Chinese E-Bike Company Expands to Elkton with New Industrial Lease

MetalRays, an electric bike manufacturer and distributor based in China, has signed a lease with McConnell Development for a 109,192 square feet space within the Upper Chesapeake Business Park in Elkton, Maryland.

Located at 1003 Konica Drive, the building is a Class-A building with a total area of 263,000 square feet. MetalRays intends to use the building for the storage and distribution of its full line of electric bike products in the United States. The company currently operates a small warehouse space in Delaware.

Ned Brady and Eric Skogmo of Lee & Associates represented the tenant and Michael McConnell of McConnell Development represented the landlord in this transaction. “MetalRays was attracted to this building’s access to three major seaports in Baltimore, Wilmington and Philadelphia, as well as its Mid-Atlantic positioning that places it within a one-day truck drive to approximately 50 percent of the United States population, representing one-third of the nation’s effective buying power,” said Brady.
