Chinese Developer Plans Megaproject at Angels Stadium

LT Global, a Chinese developer has announced plans in Downtown Anaheim for a condo and retail project adjacent to Angels Stadium in Downtown Anaheim, the LA Times reports.

The project, dubbed the Platinum Triangle would include a 28-story condo tower, a 26-story hotel, a theater, dining and an indoor surf park. The project comes after a wave of investment by Asian developers in Southern California. It’s reported that LT Global had looked at the sites in downtown LA that Greenland Partners and Oceanwide Development are creating, but high prices drove them further south.

The Platinum Triangle project is being pitched as a true downtown for Orange County.
