Chick-fil-a opens Selma distribution centers

Chick-fil-A Opens Selma Distribution Center

Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A Inc. opened an 189,000-square-foot distribution center in Selma. The company’s strategy with the new warehouse is to improve its support network for the 135 area restaurants. The site at 17640 Ben E. Keith Way was built by Titan Development and Robinson Weeks.

The new center is expected to process orders from area restaurants quicker and more efficiently, creating faster turnaround times for shifts in specific ingredient and product needs. The warehouse is a unit of Chick-fil-A Supply, a company subsidiary established in 2020 to improve its product distribution.

The San Antonio Business Journal reports that the Selma location was chosen for its available acreage, access to major highways and ability to tap into an abundant workforce. The warehouse is just off Interstate 35. About 120 people will be hired within the first year of operation.
