Chicago TREND to Buy Roseland Medical and Retail Center
Chicago Transforming Retail Economics of Neighborhood Development (TREND), a social enterprise focused on strategic retail development, is under contract to purchase the Roseland Medical and Retail Center.
Chicago TREND expects to acquire the center for $6 million and has launched an online crowdfunding campaign open to investors. DL3 Realty Advisors LLC owns the 27,000-square-foot Roseland Medical and Retail Center located at 100-134 W.111th Street in the city’s Roseland Community Medical District, reported the Chicago Business Journal.
“The goal of the crowdfunding initiative is to make an intentional effort to invite small investors from the Roseland neighborhood who are interested in community development,” said Chicago TREND CEO Lyneir Richardson.
The Roseland Medical and Retail Center is across the street from Roseland Community Hospital, and the fully occupied strip mall is anchored by Cermak Immediate Care and Chicago Family Health Center totaling 15,000 square feet.
