Hines to Add Four-Level Food Venue on Chicago Riverfront

Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises and its partners will open RPM On The Water, a four-level restaurant and events venue, as part of a $50-million upgrade of 321 N. Clark St. on the Chicago riverfront. Collaborating on the upgrade will be Hines, Levy Family Partners, Diversified and American Realty Advisors, with architecture firms Goettsch Partners and Rockwelll Group handling the design.

RPM On The Water will house three separate venues including an upscale bi-level restaurant, a private events space and a yet-to-be-named casual concept. There will be boat slips for those arriving via waterway.

R.J. Melman, partner and president of Lettuce Entertain You, credits Mayor Emanuel’s “remarkable vision for the redevelopment of the Chicago riverfront” as a driver of the RPM On The Water project. The venue is scheduled to open in summer 2019. The office tenant roster at 321 N. Clark includes the American Bar Association and CBRE.
