- Principle Construction welcomed Andrew Mackintosh and Nathaniel Barrett as senior project manager and associate project estimator, respectively. Prior to joining Principle, Mackintosh worked as a senior project manager for JLL Project & Development Services’ Industrial team, where he assisted clients in planning and executing complex projects. Barrett previously worked at Empire Construction, where he managed construction projects at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and gained experience in general contracting and carpentry estimating.
- Bryce Cerkleski joined DarwinPW Realty/CORFAC International as an associate. In his new role, Cerkleski will focus on tenant and buyer representation as well as investment analysis and sales. He will focus on industrial real estate transactions in the Lake County submarket, working closely with the firm’s principal, Matt Lewandowski.
- Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) has added an employee relations business partner, Kali Funk, to its team. Based in Chicago, Funk is responsible for supporting the growth and success of Transwestern’s team members. As part of the HR team, Funk drives holistic wellness and professional development, empowering individuals and teams to achieve performance through diverse programs and initiatives. Before TRS, Funk served as an HR Business Partner at Welcome Tech, managing the human resources efforts for the venture-backed fintech company.
- Intersect Illinois has welcomed two new board members to help advance its mission to bring economic growth and jobs to the state: Rebecca Losli, President of Illinois American Water, and Dwayne Pickett, Vice President of Clean Hydrogen Market Development at Constellation. Both represent utilities, which are essential to advancing economic development, as reliable power and available water can often be deciding factors for companies making location decisions.
- VanTrust Real Estate LLC hired longtime broker Andy Crimmins as vice president of development. Crimmins will concentrate on identifying speculative and build-to-suit industrial developments with a retail focus in Kansas City and throughout the Midwest.
- Waud Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based in Chicago, is celebrating 30 years of partnership and strategic investing in growth-oriented companies. Founded in 1993 in Lake Forest, Illinois, by Reeve Waud, Waud Capital Partners has grown significantly over the past three decades from a team of one to nearly 70 employees managing approximately $4.6 billion of AUM.
- Marcus & Millichap closed the sale of KCI RV Storage & Development, a 104,850-square-foot self-storage located in Smithville, Missouri. Robert Cook, senior associate, and Sean Delaney, senior managing director, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller. They also secured and represented the buyer with David Saverin, regional manager and Broker of Record in Missouri, who assisted in closing the transaction.
- CREC Real Estate, LLC, a private equity real estate investment firm based in Columbus, has sold its stake in VER at Proscenium, a luxury multifamily community located in Carmel, Indiana. The property consists of 196 residences spread over four buildings at the mixed-use Proscenium development. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
