  • Real estate and land use attorney Julie Workman has joined Saul Ewing’s Chicago office as a new partner. Her expertise includes negotiating contracts for property acquisitions and dispositions and leading multidisciplinary teams consisting of developers, landowners and consultants in pursuit of entitlements and zoning approvals from government agencies.
  • ML Realty Partners, an industrial real estate investment firm headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, has promoted three of its team members. Sam Abusaad was promoted to leasing director, Rebecca Diipla was promoted to marketing manager, and Doug Wood was promoted to senior development manager.
  • Hilco Global, a Chicago-based diversified financial services, investment, and asset management company, has appointed two Hilco operating company leaders, Neil Aaronson and Henry Foster, to the role of co-president at the holding company. Both are longtime leaders within the global diversified financial services firm. They will report to Jeffrey Hecktman, Hilco Global’s founder and CEO.
  • Chicago Pacific Founders (CPF), a firm specializing in healthcare private equity and real estate investments, has added Sam Bendix as its newest partner. Bendix’s extensive real estate investment background includes positions with Landmark Properties, National Real Estate Advisors, Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, Blue Vista Capital Management, and William Blair & Company.
  • Weaver Companies, a specialized services provider, has announced its leadership succession plan. The company is currently co-led by Jeff Young and Doug Dorgan. Effective January 1, 2024, Dorgan will be stepping down, and the office of the president at Weaver will be expanded to include Carolyn Cybulski, Jake Rau, and Jason Edwards as managing principals. They will join Young, managing principal and chairman, as co-presidents of the Chicago firm.
  • Daniel Management Group (DMG) has expanded its Chicago portfolio in neighborhoods including Uptown and Roscoe Village with the management of Monark, a 25-unit new development, and The Henry, a 38-unit building at the corner of Montrose Ave. and Honore St. DMG is also managing several brand-new suburban buildings in Mount Prospect, Mundelein and Oak Forest.
  • Pritzker Private Capital (PPC), a direct investing firm, has partnered with HeartLand, a Kansas City-based provider of commercial landscaping services across the United States. PPC has invested in HeartLand alongside the company’s founder, Ed Schatz, as well as other members of the HeartLand management team, to support continued growth strategy and strengthen its position within the industry.
