JLL has elected Susan Gore as an independent, non-executive member of its Board of Directors. She will also serve on the Audit and Risk and Nominating, Governance and Sustainability Committees. Gore brings more than 30 years of experience and has held various leadership roles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers during her 33-year tenure with the firm.

Regency Properties’ Amy Ethridge has been promoted to senior property management coordinator. In this new role, she will support the department and assist in the day-to-day management of her assigned properties, including developing strategic plans, working closely with vendors for services, and assisting with tenant moveouts. Additionally, Zaike Connor was hired as a maintenance technician for Regency’s Southern Indiana properties, and Regina Hamman will take on the role of senior property management coordinator.

Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres welcomed Penelope Campbell and Ari Krigel as partners in the firm’s real estate practice group. Campbell brings experience across all aspects of commercial real estate and has played a pivotal role in transactions related to retail, shopping center, industrial, warehouse, office, hospitality, and multifamily. Krigel represents clients in the commercial real estate space, including large institutional investors, national and regional lenders, and mid-market real estate investment and development companies across a variety of matters and development projects. 

Cresa’s Ryan Bertin, SIOR, and Curt Stanton, SIOR, were recently honored by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, for the 2023 Top Transaction Awards in the category of Largest Office Transaction. The 142,043-square-foot office lease was located in Cranberry Township, PA, and closed at $57,277,581. Bertin, a managing principal with Cresa’s Detroit office, and Stanton, a managing principal based in Cresa’s Chicago office, completed the deal with SIOR members Dan Adamski, SIOR, managing director at JLL; Ryan Bertin, SIOR, managing principal at Cresa Detroit; Amy Broadhurst, SIOR, president and principal of Lee & Associates; and Patrick Sentner, SIOR, executive vice president of Colliers | Pittsburgh.

Matterhorn Venture Partners has added real estate private equity veteran Tina Ramos as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer. As a Co-Founder alongside Scott McKibben and Matt Kay, Ramos will be responsible for building out a network of capital sources and for creating and implementing business lines that create investment opportunities. She served previously as CIO of The Missner Group and as an SVP of Pacific Coast Capital Partners, where she oversaw equity and debt investments.

Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity awarded $1.2 million in grant funding to 11 recipients through the Illinois APEX Accelerator. This funding will support economic development centers, academic institutions and private nonprofit organizations in their efforts to provide small businesses with resources to identify and secure government contracting opportunities.
